In the Garden of Lysos almost all vegetables are grown both outdoors and under cover, in a greenhouse.
Depending on the season, one can find the basic winter crops (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce, celery, spinach, carrots, onions, etc.) and spring-summer crops (tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, eggplants, peppers, etc.).
At the same time, we try to secure seeds of traditional vegetable varieties and eventually create a small seed bank of our own.
The products are sold directly to the consumer, in a specially designed area, which is located in the same place where the crops are grown, thus enabling anyone who wants to can see the whole growing process.
The aim of our weekly market, apart from the obvious financial support for the project and the beneficiaries, is that it is an opportunity to socialize our work and for the trainees to socialize and become familiar with everyday business practices.
The proceeds of the sales are distributed at the end of the training period to the beneficiaries of the project, while at the same time covering some of the cultivation costs.
